Feathered Words

Radar, Musicality, & Dreams

The Miami radar picked up something a bit feathery the other day (and I’m not talking a low tapered fade 😂 )…

I’m not sure what type of birds we’re talking here. But the designation is a “thing” in Florida. There’s even a bill in the state legislature right now to change the state bird from a Mocking Bird to a Flamingo. I mean, who’s thinking of retirement?

“Wanna fish?”

Birds do retire, (as in sleep). AND THEY DREAM. In fact, scientists have partially decoded these avian dreams. Birds exhibit vocal muscle activity (like humming) in their sleep. Researchers have turned this into synthetic songs. They’re hoping to use this biophysics breakthrough to learn more.

When birds wake up, do they land somewhere? If only interpreting dreams were as easy as “Just Read the Instructions”! With SpaceX’s Falcon 9 it actually is that simple. The rocket recently completed its first international landing off the coast of the Bahamas on a droneship with that very name.

“Wings of dreams carry concept to destination.”

One famous Biblical dream is that of Jacob’s ladder. Jacob rested his head on a rock and dreamt of angels ascending and descending upon a ladder to Heaven. He marked the place as one of God’s presence. I love the passage in Deuteronomy where God talks of personally caring for Jacob.

“He was like an eagle hovering over its nest, overshadowing its young, then spreading its wings, lifting them into the air, teaching them to fly.” (32:11)

Is positive dream wisdom like the intuition of parenting a child? It is fascinating! I’m obsessed with the live eagle camera in San Bernadino County. FriendsofBigBearValley.org (I found the livecam on youtube!)

“This Live Streams 24/7”

Something mysterious glides among the wings of eagles. Something transcendental resides in our dreams. And I’m convinced that the Living Expression of Jesus bridges this ethereal song into a tangible, eternal promise. May we all soar this week!
