Happy almost Valentine’s Day! Perhaps you aren’t in a match, but you most certainly have access to a match. 😍
“Do you see it?”
I’m obsessed with candles. I just love the light, and the way they completely change an atmosphere. I also have a thing for fragrance. One could say candles are the white rice of comfort. Perhaps that’s why “rice” scents are the new gourmands of 2025. There’s a universal, yet uniquely bespoke appeal.
“Ink to Paper & a Rice Steam Accord”
An Austrian skier recently encountered a different type of candle. The majestic “sun candle” forms when sunlight interacts with tiny, flat ice crystals in the atmosphere.
“Stunning Phenom!”
Candles are stellar. The “standard candle” is an object that has a known luminosity (basically different stars that emit patterns of brightness). DID YOU KNOW THAT HUMANS HAVE LUMINOSITY? THE ACTUAL LIGHT WE EMIT IN PHOTONS IS 1000 TIMES LESS INTENSE THAT THE HUMAN EYE CAN DETECT. BUT WHAT ABOUT THAT INNER LIGHT THAT WE CAN SIMPLY SENSE?
“SOUL IS THE LIGHT YOU CHOOSE AND THE LIFE YOU SPREAD.”
In Psalms 18, David exclaims, “For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.” How can we light another candle? I’m convinced it’s by believing our Creator loves us beyond imagination. We have light and life to spread to others. It’s the golden rule. It’s LOVE. On Saturday I’ll celebrate my Birthday with candles of the human, cosmic, and flame variety! Thank you for participating in this enlightening journey!
