Water Words
Aquanauts, Polymers, & Fortitude
Cold water, “EUSTRESS” me out! 😆 Actually “eustress” is the good form of stress that level-sets the body’s survival circuit. Longevity cells love a good ice activation. 😅

“Last month at a friend’s Bday!”
I de-facto cold plunge anyway, because I love to work out with the aqua jogger. In water, you’re buoyant and your joints get a break from gravity. Simultaneously, you increase resistance and enhance pliability.

“This suspends you in water and you RUN ”
I like the aqua-jogger because I don’t have to immerse my head under the water. But some live for this. Enter a futuristic subsea habitat, ready for launch. It’s called Vanguard, and will settle early next year below the waves surrounding the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Its scuba-diving inhabitants will range from aquanauts training for space, to species specialists, to underwater archaeologists.
I’ve been intrigued by this concept for awhile. Several years ago, I created a short story mystery about it. “Tejon Trouble” is listed under my pen-name, Ziva Bristow. I think you’d enjoy it. (It’s free on Amazon).

There’s something about water. Curated bottle water highlights a new trend in fine dining. Flights of water remain iceless and rank traits like minerality and salinity.
Yet, the reality is that water is a finite resource. Iran, Pakistan, India, and northern China are in crisis mode. All are at risk of running out of water.
2.2 billion people lack access to clean drinking water. However, innovators are working on solutions. MIT has just developed a hydrogel that serves as an “atmospheric water harvester.” It collects moisture from the air, using no electricity or solar power. Water vapor enters the gel and is trapped by salts. Eventually it trickles down as water.
“Fluidity of mind can erode fear.”
I am convinced that there is a flow to faith. The scriptures give a captivating account of Jesus walking on water, and then encouraging Peter to walk to him. “Jumping out of the boat, Peter walked on the water to Jesus. But when he looked down at the waves churning beneath his feet, he lost his nerve and started to sink.” (Matthew 14:29-30/ MSG). Jesus saved Peter from drowning, but then challenged, “Faint-heart, what got into you?”
A tsunami of soul doesn’t have to overwhelm. God promises that. “When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through the raging rivers, you will not drown.” (Isaiah 43:2/TPT)
Tears may be the water colors of humanity, but Jesus turned the water into wine. May we all be branches connected to this vine of Hope this week! 😄
