I’m writing this newsletter in record-settting South Florida cold. Our windchills crashed out in the teens this morning! For me, it’s giving Baltimore in the day.

You know what looks kinda “oyster-esque”? Jupiter’s moon, Europa.
“Shell Pattern of Jet Streams & Storms”
NASA’S Juno mission caught these incredible photos. The Europa Clipper mission will do more in the future. NASA considers Jupiter’s moon a “high priority target”. It’s an icy shell with a subsurface, salty ocean, that just may house ingredients for life. Is future habitation here possible? The cold poses an issue: -260 degrees F.
The Jupiter I’m most familiar with is down the street. It’s the home of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, and center for spring training for the the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals. In the summer, it features minor league action. This year? It’s a cold vibe. For 12 games the Palm Beach Cardinals will switch to become the “Frozen Iguanas!”
“Resurrecting runs?”
If you’re not familiar, iguanas get cold-stunned when temperatures fall below 40 degrees. They’re all over the place today, plopping out of trees, lying like zombies on the ground. Maybe find your hairdryer? They revive with warmth!

“Grace Pervades Horizons”
Interestingly, it’s usually coldest right before sunrise. Yet, with the light, there’s a sign, an invitation of sorts. Will we sit in yesterday’s mistakes? Or will we accept the grace of a fresh start?
The scriptures encourage, “This is why is is said: ‘Wake up sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!” (Ephesians 5:14/NIV)
This is a warmth of heart. It’s a spiritual reviving of freedom, offering a fresh geometry of soul. Yes, we mess up, but sitting in accusation disregards why Jesus died. He assumed our failures, so each day could become new with hope. Awake! This week will be good! 😄
