Tennis great Naomi Osaka takes agency over her entrances! She stunned at the Australian Open last week in an ethereal jellyfish-esque outfit, inspired by the wonder of her 2-year old daughter.

Many loved the audacity. Critics tried to dampen the glam. Osaka said, “I hope people realize I genuinely don’t care. I’m going to do the things that make me happy.”

Finding the mesmerizing creatures inspires me. I discovered this “Cannonball Jellyfish” on Hilton Head last summer.
“Stylish Swimmer”
Its bell really does resemble a cannonball. I know this because I got to help shoot the cannon at Ft. McHenry in the day. That’s the area of Baltimore where Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner during the War of 1812.

The banner still waves in this land of the free. Wherever you stand politically, however much our nation fights, the dawn’s early light offers hope. One of my favorite parts of the entire College Football Playoffs was “The War and Treaty” singing the National Anthem. They combine such a cool blend of Americana, southern soul, blues, rock, gospel, country, & R&B.

Jellyfish possess a stunning bioluminescence (producing and radiating light). They are also free-swimmers, marine animals that move through water currents in wave-like motion. Pulsations in the bell make this possible. Let freedom ring.
