It’s Pikachu and his cuddly counterpart holding the revered water cup with scented lather on his cheeks! Blame it on ultrasonic beacons. Humans can’t hear ultrasound. But the microphones on phones pick up background noise with these signals. The “magic” marketing comes from ESPIONAGE! To be a good human spy you must both listen and decipher meaning.

Right now I’m obsessed with “Slow Horses.” It airs on Apple TV and twists the typical spy narrative. The screw-ups at MI5 are sent to Slough House. They still somehow get roped into the game and will do anything to redeem themselves. Gary Oldman makes the series. He’s their undaunted, cringe-like leader, Jackson Lamb. It’s based on the book by Mick Herron.

💫 THE BEST SPY STORY OF ALL TIME MAY JUST BE THAT OF THE MAGI. Why? The astrologists from Persia used both SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) and HUMINT (Human Intelligence). The infusion of both led to WITNESSING and experiencing Jesus. That unlocked an even stronger, intangible intelligence: Wisdom Intelligence.
King Herod commanded the scholars to report to him once they found the rumored King of the Jews. The “magic intellectuals” followed the signals: the star combined with prophecy. The star stopped directly over where the child was.
“They could hardly contain themselves: They were in the right place! They had arrived at the right time! They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they kneeled and worshiped him.” Matthew 2:10-11 (MSG)
Was it serendipity? Or was the God of the universe at work? Experiencing the child and mother elicited an emotional response, not common for elite spies. The mysterious intensified further. A dream led to actionable, supernatural intelligence. They felt warned against returning the intel to Herod.

?? Curiosity ignites the seeking. Whether it be solving a medical puzzle to treat a disease or figuring out how solve a dispute…the questions spur the journey. Sometimes, something quite rare happens. Photographer Nigel Danson experienced a phenomena. He witnessed a quadruple rainbow!
