You never know who you’re gonna run into at Publix.
“Well hey Serena. “ (This completely changed my outlook on getting groceries!)
“Jordan! Meet the greatest female athlete of all time!”
This happened when Jordan was 5 and Serena Williams was pregnant with Olympia. The queen gracefully indulged my food-shopping fandom and gave us a moment. Her husband Alexis was awesome too.

“Mom serves!’
Fast forward to 2026. The lightning ace is mom to two, and Jordan got to watch her return at Wimbledon. Epic!
Speaking of, Venus and Serena will reunite for doubles play tomorrow. Talk about a V-Starr victory team!

I’ll likely be heading to Publix later today. Jordan didn’t find our fridge too hospitable.
“Ingredient, ingredient, ingredient. Nothing is made, Mom. All you have is ingredients.”
Lol, what can I say, I could live off bread and fruit. Perhaps I’ll get just add some Ranch Dressing!
UPS is even offering a “Ship & Dip” discount for Ranch. That way all those fans can get a supply back in their home countries. Happy 250th America!

“Happy 4th of July!”
Who knew Ranch Dressing was such a gem?
Time reveals.
The ingredients all finally came together for Cape Verde’s “Vozinha”.

“CLEAN SHEET, 7 SAVES, & 17 MILLION NEW INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS!”
Age has worked in Vozinha’s favor.
Top sports psychologists acknowledge that time and experience can lead to better pattern recognition.
Anticipation, confidence, and decision-making is critical for a goalie.

Hospitality mixes the ingredients. And it’s not just hospitality suite tickets. In the 10 Cape Verde Islands, the ethos is something called “Morobeza”. It’s a lifestyle of warmth, spontaneous invitation, and protecting what you have.
“Hospitality invites ingredients into flavor.”
Sharing unlocks time’s value. Whether it be the open-kindness shown by Serena, the fervor of the All England Club embracing a sister comeback, the joy of Americans revealing their Hidden Valley Ranch, or the morobeza mindset of Vozinha & Cape Verde? Future impact unfolds forward.
The scriptures highlight a story that features a sort of biblical ranch dressing! The account also infuses hospitality, hope, and the mysterious. Three visitors appeared to Abraham when he lived near the oak grove of Mamre. He ran to welcome them immediately. His wife Sarah prepared food.
“Then he brought the food they had prepared—roasted meat, bread, curds, and milk—and set it before his guests. Abraham stood by them under the tree while they ate.” (Genesis 18:8/TPT)
A couple of verses later, one of the visitors (thought to be angels), declared that Sarah would have a son.
It came true. Hospitality unlocked unknown promise. I’m convinced adventure awaits in every interaction. Consistent practice of over time trains our default response for when the truly unique presents itself.
Hospitality leaves a legacy never in doubt. 😇 Have a beautiful week!
