Catapult Words
Stock, Flares, & Gladiators
Ready to catapult into a new week? I am. Literally. Jordan and I have spent the morning getting materials for constructing a 3 ft. “catapult.” It’s a science project (remember that fun? 🤣 )!
The catapult has to creatively hurl marshmallows. Jordan’s calling her contraption, a “Hello Kitty-Pult.” Trust me when I tell the pink and white spray paint is at the ready!
“Stay Tuned! 🤣 “
It turns out that the “Hello Kitty” franchise has catapulted those who bought into the Sanrio’s expanded vision in 2020. How much? Investors have made 10 times their money! “Hello Kitty” turns 50 this year, and has evolved into a massive social media presence with a whole new cast of characters. The licensing business has also blown up. You’ll see the adorable icon and friends on everything from microwaves to hand sanitizer. A Warner Brothers movie is even in the works!
“Fan Girls”
Speaking of movies, who could forget the insane opening battle in “Gladiator”, where catapults and other advanced weapons of the Romans abounded? “GLADIATOR II” just previewed to rave reviews. The Ridley Scott film stars Denzel Washington, Paul Mescal, and Pedro Pascal. I’m calling a huge catapult of box office buzz!
It’s not a solar Maximus but a solar “Maximum” that we’re in with the sun cycle now. That means more solar eruptions and space weather like we’ve experienced this year with the northern lights. Interesting enough, when the sun emits its magnetic plasma, it does so, through a catapulting method. Magnetic lines of force retract like rubber bands and sweep up the solar flare material like a sling shot. The next thing you know, our skies are multi-colored!
DETERMINATION CATAPULTS RESILIENCE.”
In the case of Lulu Gribbins, that inner shine of heart, can’t be quenched. She’s been catapulting golf drives, and mindset, with strength and courage. The June shark attack may have made her a double amputee, but it sure didn’t make her a victim. Talk about a gladiator! 💚
“Fire!”
“I made it.” Those were Lulu’s first words to her mom when she got off the ventilator. The great thing about her is she’s still not only making it, but launching forward with joy and hope.
In the Bible, the catapult is mentioned in 2 Chronicles. King Uzziah, only 16 years old (Lulu’s age), used catapults to defend Jerusalem. Uzziah means “Yah (God) is my strength”, in Hebrew. Lulu’s miracle speaks to this. Yet she’s choosing to catapult that miracle into more. Let her message of endurance and passion inspire you this week. Let’s catapult all that’s been given to us into more for the world around us! ❤️
