Haw, haw, haw, It’s SANDRA

!!!
I’m dropping this on a Tuesday because I’m Irish and it’s St. Patrick’s Day! Grab your green hat!
Green accents sure ruled at the Habitat for Humanity “Women Build” event last Friday. So much so, the radar started to get in on the green!
“Serving Reigns”
Extra rains in the desert just delivered a unique kind of greening in Death Valley. The most spectacular superbloom in a decade is now dazzling with pinks, purples and golds.

@elliotmcgucken
It’s a rare mega-bloom of berries that’s revived the greenest of parrots. The endangered Kakapo of New Zealand may be flightless, but has one of the longest lifespans of any bird. There are barely more than 200 in existence. The unique parrots only reproduce when certain trees fruit heavily with kimu berries.

“Robust Outlook”
In Crichton, Alabama a green legend is still blooming.

“Used to Work in this Market”
My reporter friend Brian Johnson first introduced the world to the Crichton craziness. You just have to watch this to fully appreciate. People digging for gold with backhoes? A crowd searching for a mystical being? A hand-drawn police sketch? Watch!
For the actual St. Patrick, life presented as more of a refining of gold. The Brit, Patricius, as he was called at 16, got captured by Irish pirates. The slave served them as an animal herder. He started praying. Six years later, Patricius escaped. 25 years after that, he returned to his same captors to bring them the gospel. St. Patrick preached to pagans in Ireland for almost 40 years.
“Love’s alchemy shocks with life.”
What ignites more adventure and life than the golden rule? Should that be the pot of gold for which we quest? Jesus, the living expression, sure shocked. I’m convinced that when He resurrected, the gold in us started to catalyze. It’s connected to the “green” of renewal.
Listen to the scriptures: “Oh! May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope!” (Romans 15:13/MSG)
THE LIGHT’S GREEN! HAVE THE BEST WEEK!
