Happy Spring Forward! It’s the week after the skip-an-hour thing. Can you relate?

Still, the valiant among us tackle the challenge head-on! May we all grow this way!

Survival takes smarts and resilience. Krav Maga is the Israeli form of self defense. I took my first class the other day and loved the rapid response and practical nuance to all the motion. In weapons defense we learned about the “redirect”—as an essential first step to evade a line of fire.

The goal is to live, which is more challenging if you get shot!
But sometimes you have to TAKE A SHOT!
On a minor scale, I blew up the weather rundown last week to take live pics of the total lunar eclipse.
On a macro-scale Galileo reimagined the entire reality of the solar system. Insights are still surfacing on his revolutionary, re-directive thought that thrust him straight into the line of fire.
In the margins of a copy of Ptolemy’s “Almagest” are notes by Galileo. What notes? A translation of Psalms 145. A letter from a fellow mathematician indicates Galileo prayed each time before studying the text. Galileo studied the text, yet refuted it, maintaining the earth revolved around the sun.
Ironically, the church eventually house-arrested the polymath as a heretic. I find it super intriguing that Psalms 145 is a poem and prayer touting God’s greatness.
“Wonder’s kinematics roll courageously.”
In life we can defend ourselves, defend others, evade and survive. Yet I’m convinced that to truly live, the wonder of Love, in any circumstance, is essential.

It’s a bit of a paradox, yet so is Jesus. Here are some highlights from Psalms 145 (TPT):
“Your tender love is blended into everything you do.” (9)
“For there is no end to the discovery of greatness that surrounds you.” (3)
“Your magnificent splendor and the miracles of your majesty are my constant meditation.” (5)
“You have captured our attention and the eyes of all look to you.” (15)
Here’s to rolling with courage this week! 😃
