Feathered Words
Friends, Focus, & Finesse
Full disclosure, I’m not what you’d call a graphic-creating genius. But, even my technically challenged persona got a surprise this week. What was supposed to be an automated yellow glob depicting a tropical wave, turned up as this!
“Cool feathering”
Is there an alien in the system? What is the sensible thing to do when you hit a wall? Enter the “Practical Peacock”.

I actually think Gary Vee crushes so strong he does make money in his sleep. If you haven’t checked out all his Vee Friends, do! I may not care so much about crypto or NFTs, but these are awesome! I love the values they tout, with personality.
PEACOCKS ARE HIGH VOLTAGE.

“Radiance”
This is breakthrough! Scientists from Florida Polytechnic University found it all has to do with the eyespots on the peacock’s iridescent feathers. The spots contain nanostructures capable of aligning light waves, much like lasers.
There’s a fun experiment I first did with a peacock feather, at a leadership program. I re-created it the other day with another feather. Either way, one looks down as they to try and balance the feather on their finger. It fails. But when you look up? You win with balance. The feather is perched!
“Ready to fly!”
The Ohio State Football team sure isn’t “peacocking” after their championship win last year. They just completed a pretty radical off-season assignment!
After the Ohio State football team won the national title, Coach Ryan Day agonized over how to refocus his players. His radical offseason move: having them read a book. on.wsj.com/4mKOmH7

“A reframe is an intentional rise of mind.”
So where’s your focus? The scriptures elaborate on struggles. “You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down but we haven’t broken.” (2 Corinthians 4:8,9 TPT)
I think the encouragement continues in verse 16. “So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day.”
I’m convinced this is true insight…the kind that gives you wings. Have an extraordinary week!
