Book Words

Lights, Sculptures, & Wings

Are you a compositional maverick, a slang rebel, or a perpetual poet? What are you reading? There’s a story here 😉 !

At least there’s no mistaking this record-setting prose for AI. Non-human books have started to flood the marketplace. In fact, a UK start-up is offering a new “organic” certification label for books. It would verify the written works were penned by a human, not a machine. Let’s go!

Humanity’s story, even with AI, could be described as the “Library of Us”. That’s actually the name of an illuminated triangular sculpture containing 2500 books. Artist ES Devlin formed it on Miami Beach for Art Week.

Words light something within our soul.

It’s not a chandelier, but an incredible butterfly garden that marks one of my favorite local book enclaves. It’s the Coral Gables Library. “SolHuBod”, and its thematic butterfly motif, is now on the shelves there, too.

“Eternal Ecosystems”

Artist Xavier Cortado just unveiled “Planting Pollinators”. It’s a hand-carved, hand-painted ceramic sculpture in the library’s butterfly garden.

“Flower Force Activate!”

Growth beautifies life. Books magnetize art. Words attract thought. Expression invites experience.

“In the library of life, love writes most profoundly.”

Sandra Shaw

The scriptures describe Jesus as the “Living Expression” (TPT). John explains, “And the Living Expression was with God, yet fully God.” (John 1:1) I’m convinced Jesus incarnated as human to show humans the essence of Love. Another translation (MSG) reads: “The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one.”

Words infused with acts of love unlock the divine. The last sentence of the chapter explains it like this: “Jesus did countless things that I haven’t included here. And if every one of his works were written down and described one by one, I suppose that the world itself wouldn’t have enough room to contain the books that would have to be written!” (21:24)

May you live unbounded and hopeful this week 😀 !
