💪 An app for air raid alerts in Ukraine is using Luke Skywalker’s voice to enhance resilience. It announces, “Attention. Air Raid Alert. Proceed to the nearest shelter. Don’t be careless. Your overconfidence is your weakness.” That’s according to two University of Chicago professors who recently returned from teaching at the Kyiv School of Economics. Both endured air raids and teaching in bomb shelters. 💫 Choice is a gravity wave with ripple effects. NASA’s chosen AWE this month. AWE stands for “atmospheric waves experiment.” It’s a tool that will be mounted on the International Space Station. The instrument will measure colorful bands known as Airglow. Those arrays flourish in the layer of sky that opens up to space. Atmospheric waves create different infrared colors. The waves typically arise after an event like a hurricane or tornado. They affect the sun’s weather.
