WHAT’S UP 2024?! IT’S GO TIME!
“I’m federal agent Jack Bauer and today is the longest day of my life.”
I don’t work for CTU trying to stop world disaster, but the clock is in my head! Don’t you wish you could slay a day like Jack Bauer? If there’s ever a year to maximize the 24 hours in each day, it’s 2024. But how do you navigate the tension? The pressure of the clock? In the case of Jack Bauer, he did what he had to do! What is it that you must do now? What is the most critical?
“DITCH THE POTHOLE PATROL, GET THE VERDICT!”
One station I street reported for would assign up to five different stories a day. Plus they’d want me on live when a trial didn’t even wrap until 5?! How are you gonna do all that? To quote a favorite photographer? “Somebody’s gonna have to sacrifice.” In other words, what needs to take the back burner so the most relevant gets on the air? Hustle, but prioritize!
SEEMLESS EXECUTION, IMMERSED FOCUS, AND OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE COME THROUGH EXPERIENCE AND PRACTICE. I’m convinced that the “weight and wait” of discipline pays off! Train in such a way that when the moment arrives, you’re the right person in the moment. That’s who Jack Bauer was--regardless of the clock or daunting odds!

“WHEN YOU’RE IN THE ZONE, TIME DOESN’T DISTRACT.”
The time might be now or in the “Mirai.” Mirai means “distant future” in Japanese. But for Miami’s Design District, it’s beginning this summer. Renowned architect Kengo Kuma will fuse Miami’s energy with Japanese minimalism with his new project called “Mirai.” It will feature retail and office spaces and highlight a central garden. There will be a green roof topped with solar panels, several planted pathways, and colorful facades.
See those peach tones in that rendering? That’s quite timely. Pantone’s color of the year is “PEACH FUZZ.” It’s said to be a “fresh approach to new softness.” The color also evokes kindness, compassion, and peace. https://www.pantone.com/color-of-the-year/2024

🧡 💛 Let’s have a peachy keen year 😉! 2024 is its own kind of gold (24 carat pure). We’ve all got a fresh start. The NBA shot clock (24 seconds!) is on! Put in the work (in the spirit of Kobe #24). Strive, but step back with the weight of practice. There’s a pattern.
